About centre


Main aim for establishing NCC is to enhance complex model of efficient cooperation of RO departments and development capacities of businesses for growth of technological competence in the area of smart components and technologies.

Results of R&D will bring new and innovated production of smart components and systems which can be utilized in several technical areas. These are especially industrial plants in machinery and processing industries, logistics and power industry. NCC will be a partner for new concepts of machinery and system design. At the same time, NCC will cover several potential applications for non-industrial fields (medicine diagnostics, implants, etc.).

Brno University of Technology
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Brno University of Technology. The main workplace is NETME Centre – New Technologies for Mechanical Engineering, respectively its Division of Mechatronics, Division of Virtual Machine Design and Testing and Division of Advanced Metallic Materials.

Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Communication of the Brno University of Technology. The workplace is the Center for Research and Utilization of Renewable Energy Sources (CVVOZE), respectively the Laboratory of Special Electrical Machines and the Laboratory of Power Electronics and Microprocessor Technologies.

University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague
Faculty of Chemical Technology of the UCT Prague. The workplace is the Institute of Metal Materials and Corrosion Engineering.

Czech Technical University in Prague
Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the CTU in Prague. The workplace is the Institute of Mechanics, Biomechanics and Mechatronics.

VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava

NCC Council

The NCC Council determines the main direction of the NCC activities and supervises its proper performance. The NCC Council identifies the conceptual and strategic direction of the NCC and makes fundamental decisions relating to the operation of the NCC, in particular supervises the performance of the joint/strategic research agenda and cooperation with the application sector. NCC Council has the internal component and the external component.
